Project “Lost Fire” is one of the activities of the civic organization ART KRUH/ART CIRCLE which will be held from 3rd of August – to 23rd of August, 2010 in the village called Stratena/Lost, in the area of National Park in Slovensky raj, placed in the setting of the old historic building of Stara krcma and Halas/Taverna and Halash (suggested to be added into the list of cultural heritage).
The Goal of the project is to realize workshops followed by the festival with the participation of lecturers – professional artists – connected with the mutual theme of “fire” in the different field of art.
Intention is to stimulate and to support the talent of the participants in the natural outdoor setting. Creative scenes (short presentation of the plays, music, dance and exhibition of the pieces of arts) are to show to the general public how to demonstrate their interests in the modern art and how to support their own artistic creativity.
The Purpose is to draw attention on the Fire within the context of Slavonic mythology with its metaphoric meanings and to revive the forgotten world of our ancestors, their gods, myths, habits and rituals.
The Contribution of the project is in the support of the creativity, and reviving of forgotten traditions, rituals and spiritual values of our ancestors through the resent art. Presentation of the final project output will be part of the festival, which is also a climax of the Festival cycle of The Five elements, which takes place in the village Stratena every year, organized for the last time this year.
Workshops Lecturers are professional artists from Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland and Bulgaria.

- movement theatre
- shaded theater and work with puppet
- masks’ production
- fire show, jugglery
- production of the percussion instruments, fipple flutes/fujara flute and whistles
- art crafts (woodcarving, smithing)
- scene making
Target Group
Project is addressed as well as for professional as for amateurs, for people interested in art. The main focus is on young people in the age of 15 – 35, but also on other age groups. Project remains the district character but is welcoming people from all Slovakia thanks to its natural and beautiful scenery setting.
This Project is part of Youth in action , 1.1. youth exchange programme (see “Youth in action”, conditions are equal in Europe).
Our Partners are organizations from Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland and Bulgaria.
Since you are our Partner Organization we need a confirmation of our mutual cooperation and participation in the Project. Each country should be represented by one team leader (no age limitation) and by four young people (15 – 25). The team leader should be also a lecturer for one of the workshop. Each group should prepare national songs, dance, rituals and other habits corresponding with the Project theme.
