Projekt 2011 - NEVERENDING FIRE

Projekt bol podporený z programu Európskej komisie „Mládež v akcii“. Prebieha v obci Prenčov od 27.7. do 17.8.2011 a účastní sa ho 30 mladých umelcov zo Slovenska, Čiech, Bulharska a Poľska. Jeho zámerom je hľadanie, oživovanie a zachovávanie našich spoločných slovanských koreňov. Vyvrcholením bude medzinárodné divadelné predstavenie inšpirované tradíciami našich predkov.

“Never ending Fire” – youth exchange 2011

The “Never-Ending Fire” is a continuation of last year's project “Lost Fire” where the main topic of the project was searching for cultural identity, in order to explore and bring closer common European roots. The FIRE is there for us a symbol of internal inflammation for the maintenance and development of cultural values and traditions that we inherited from our ancestors. We want to push this idea further, therefore intention of this project is to provide space for exchange of our skills and experience with organizing cultural activities, enhance ourselves to be better leaders and also support idea of volunteering. Its aim is to build strong partnership between partner’s organizations, with long-term cooperation. These aims will be accomplished by means of particular activities (ice-breakers, advancement of presentation skills and project management, role games, discussion, outdoor activities, etc.) Other supplementary aims concern Urban/Rural development by cultural and artistic activities. In doing so, the methods of informal education and teambuilding will be utilized (workshop, brainstorming, round table, “talking stick”, discussion, action learning, and such).

Project is a multilateral Youth Exchange among Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland and Bulgaria. There will be 22 young people aged 17-27 participating, plus 6 team leaders. It will take place from 27.07 to 17.8. 2011, in the village of Prenčov in region of Banská Štiavnica – Climax of the whole Project will be some cultural event for public.

• Topic - exploring of Slavic roots
• Idea for the performance - rituals and cultural traditions connected with wedding, funeral and initiation for girls and mans to become woman and man.
• Task - search and get information about this traditions and mythology of Slavic in their own countries.
• Do prepare national evening - traditional way of having fun and celebrate with songs, food, drink and dance (task for national groups).
• Important is also to develop leadership skills of participants during workshops and work with local community to involve them into our activities

• Film, music, books about all Slavic rituals and traditions in our countries!!!

• "costumes”: folklore, ethno or hipies-gypsie style, colorful - anything what can work in the performance
