About ART KRUH and ,,Prenčov 60 Theater’’

Civic association ART KRUH - Agency for developing traditions of culture, craft, art and harmony is a corporation of artists, craftsmen, creative and spiritual people attempting to live harmoniously in the symbiosis with nature and their surrounding. It was officially established in 2004.

The essential philosophy of this association is to create a more conscious society and space in which people will be able to educate, self-realize and gain new knowledge about themselves, as well as to allow them to relax through cultural, spiritual and artistic activities.

This  creative and spiritual world of art comes to the place of Golden Ground  in the land of Salamander where the dreams come true!

In 2010 under the wing of ART KRUH was established an independent, international theater in Slovakia – ,, Prenčov 60 Theater ”. Situated in Prenčov – region of Banská Štiavnica, in the center of Slovakia.

Strong connection between Slavic people from Slovakia, Bulgaria, Poland and Czech Republic and their love of art unable to collect artists and realize common idea.

Their aim is to make art, teach, share the enthusiasm and live in symbiosis with the nature and their surrounding.

The ,,Prenčov 60 Theater’’ work in site specific style used in street performances.

The way of working is inspired by Slavic roots, traditions and customs from other cultures and meetings with people from other countries. In performances are used different styles of dances, singing in different languages, playing on the instruments, acting, fireshow and circus.

ART KRUH Youth Program

Art Kruh is a place for ecological living, learning new things about the art, develop your talent, self - realization and joy!

The youth programs - Youth Exchange and European Voluntary Service will give big chance for you:

• to have knowledge about ecological way of living
• to work with clay and ecological materials
• to express yourself in making the art
• to learn new things through different art workshops and activities
• to meet with new cultures and traditions
• to make contact with nature, body and spirit
• to participate in the performances of ,,Prenčov 60 Theater’’

What we need from you:

-         To write us – when you have free time during the summer / between 01.07.2012  and 31.08. 2012/

-         To be between 18 – 30 years old

-         CV & Motivation letter

-         To choose in which program you want to participate :

EVS / 12 months /Action 2

Youth Exchange / 21 days / Action 1.1 

And of course wish and energy to work with us!

When our projects will be supported by National Agency in Slovakia, we will write you in the beginning of the spring , exact dates of the projects and more details about the activity program.

Planned activities :

The main activity:

• crafts with natural materials and clay
• Traditional way of building
• Making eco cleaners, liquids and cleaning stuff
• Recycling workshop
• Recycling band, making music from instruments made from recycled materials
• Using natural materials
• Way of preparing food (cooking in ecological way, slow food)

Other activities:

• Creation and building of musical instruments, props and other objects used in the play.
• Circus  / Juggling, Fireshow/
• Dance  / Contemporary dance; Jazz; Improvisation; Folklore dance /
• Music and singing workshop
• Masks workshop

We are especially interested in people who have experience with  crafts and have knowledge about old traditions forgotten from their own country or minority folk-tribes. We want you to be able to bring this knowledge with you and shear it with us to give a real “ancient touch” to the process.

If you play on any instrument just feel free to bring it with you!

We expect people to be positive, open minded, flexible and motivated.

People with health issues, diabetes, joint/muscular syndromes, back-problems, and so on, HAVE TO inform us about this when they apply, as this might have an effect both for you and on our work during the training/performance. If you think you have any kind of health issue we should know about, write about it.  We are flexible, but need to know about people’s needs in order to make a safe environment for everybody.

We will provide 70 % of the tickets price/ flight , train or bus/, food and accommodation according to Youth in Action rates and standards.

For the accommodation is possible to live in the tents or big Tipi.

Because the project will be ecological we will give you opportunity to learn how to survive and live in connection with nature and more close to her.

There will be as well possibility to live in a building, under the normal roof where you will share rooms with 2 or more people.
